Sunday (3.17.24) marks the launch of The Artist Blend!

Roll through Curious Toast Cafe (718 Central Ave SW, ABQ NM 87102) from 11 am - 1:30 pm for free coffee and pastries (for those who register), to meet local creatives, to take a moment to work on your own creative project, and/or to learn about these upcoming artist centric events.

What is The Artist Blend?

The Artist Blend is an exclusive space for artistic expression and collaboration nestled in the heart of Downtown ABQ.

Who is it for?

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “where can I connect with local creatives” or “where can I set aside some time to work on my creative project” this is for YOU.

What can I expect?

Each event is a little different, but all of them allow time for you to meet new artists, work on your latest project(s), and/or learn a new creative medium.

The Chocolate Factory will be at the Albuquerque Social Club for their Blaq Pride Drag Show.

This is a 21+ event for club members and bonafide guests.

The Syndicate, Teen Mpower and UNM's Black Queer student org, True Colors, are providing free massages, rapid HIV testing, and relaxing painting at Civic Plaza from noon - 5 pm!

The Chocolate Factory Preview

The producers of New Mexico's only all Black Drag troupe, The Chocolate Factory, will preview their show on the mainstage at Civic Plaza from 3:30 pm - 4:15 pm.

As summer comes to an end, why not close it out with a day party at Nexus Smokehouse?

No cover, just come out to eat, drink, and dance the day away <3

We will be in the back patio (aka the backyard) of the smokehouse.

DJ Brownie Bass.os will spin a lil' bit of everything w/ lots of Beyoncé and 3rd coast tracks throughout the party.

Bring a crew or come solo...either way come have a good time before summer slips away.

If you're looking for some good food and good music link up at Frank's Chicken & Waffles on Friday, June 18th for RnB and hip hop all night. Free entry. Full menu with beer and wine. Meet new folks and hear a lil' sumthing that we don't often get to hear in ABQ.

Through gentle stretching & guided meditation, we release energy that is trapped in the body to make space for healing. This practice is led by Reina Carson, an Albuquerque yoga instructor who promotes self-love and emotional release through her practice. ⁠

The Future Been Black is a day party like Burque has never seen. 

Janelle Monae's Dirty Computer Visual Album sets the literal backdrop of the party highlighting her artistic take on afro-futurism through a queer black lens. 

This fully immersive afro-futuristic experience sets the scene for uninhibited dance,  signature drink specials, and the celebration of black women artists from the past, present, and future. 

The future has been a lot of things...it's been as hopeful as it is dreadful, beautiful as it is bleak, but at this day party we celebrate what is also true: The Future Been Black. 

The Syndicate curates events that celebrate the Black experience, queer voices & culture creators.
